Colilert Water Testing
Colilert 18 is a rapid and accurate Coliforms and E. Coli test for water.
Colilert 18 has significant advantages over traditional methods especially regarding the reliability of indicating the presence of low levels of E. Coli and Coliform - the key indicators of health risk. It requires under one minute hands on time and detects total Coliforms and E. Coli simultaneously in approximately 18 hours.
It is accurate and economical with up to a 12 month shelf life at room temperature and is very easy to use. Simply pour the contents of a provided sachet into a 100ml water sample and shake until dissolved then incubate at 35-37°C for 18-24 hours.
Yellow indicates a positive confirmed coliform sample which if fluorescent under a 365nm UV light indicates the presence of E. Coli.
Colilert has the full approval of the Drinking Water Inspectorate.
